Volunteering Opportunities

Many retirees call Arkansas "home." From those who already have roots here to those who are drawn to the state because of its bountiful natural resources, many choose volunteerism as a way to remain active and give back to the community.

According to the Journal on Active Aging, those who volunteer more than 100 hours per year are two-thirds less likely to report health problems, even if they had previous health issues.

The volunteer opportunities in Arkansas are endless, and a new national Web portal will help you connect to many of them in your area. Just click on the Serve.gov link below to see how you can get involved!
