| The program activities of the Arkansas Development Finance
Authority may be divided into three broad categories, expressed in terms of the goal of
each activity: Economic Development, Homeownership, and Affordable Rental Housing. Each of
these goals represents a different aspect of the theme, developing the future of
Arkansas. ADFA serves as the primary public source in the state for importing capital to the state which is utilized in these development activities. Capital is imported to the state both by ADFA's issuance of tax-exempt and taxable bonds and by its application for and administration of grant funds from federal and private foundation sources.
