We Invite Your Input!     Annually, ADFA updates its policies to ensure appropriate administration of our programs.

It is vital that we hear from you to gain knowledge and insight as to what policies work, donít work, and to improve existing policies.

WHEN:      September 30th, 2014 through October 2nd, 2014

WHERE:  Jacksonville Community Center

WHAT:    The ADFA HOME Certification Training class provides an in-depth overview of the HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) Program regulations and ADFA program policies. The class provides a summary of all program activities, including homeowner and homebuyer, rental housing, tenant-based rental assistance, and CHDO activities. This course is a comprehensive summary of the HOME Program and it is taught at a rapid pace, with the assumption that all attendees already have a strong foundation in the HOME Program. At the conclusion of the class, participants are required to take an exam. If they pass the exam, they are designated as a Certified HOME Program Administrator by ADFA. There are three simultaneous tracks from which you may select for this training, and you may only register for only one track. Your options are as follows: Homeowner and Homebuyer Track; Rental/TBRA Track; and Comprehensive Housing Track.

WHO:    Should I Attend?  This is an advanced course. It assumes that all attendees already have an in-depth understanding of all aspects of the HOME Program. Prospective attendees include local government staff, nonprofit organizations, private developers, consultants, and public housing authorities. This training is designed for State HOME recipients to understand and demonstrate their knowledge of HOME program requirements, such as eligible uses; eligible properties and beneficiaries; maximum allowable subsidy; affordability; rules for homebuyer programs; rental programs and homeowner occupied rehabilitation programs; other federal requirements and program administration.
